 Mr. Sheidu Omeiza Momoh age 58 was born in Okene, Kogi State of Nigeria to the family of Alhaji Eneyamire Momoh and Madam Seriya Momoh both of blessed memory.


He went through the following academic institutions which produced his personality. St. Andrews Primary school, Okene; Okene Commercial Secondary School and Odo-ere Commercial Secondary School-Yagba-West; Kwara School of Basic Studies, Ilorin; University of Ibadan; University of Lagos; Nigerian Foreign Service Academy-Lagos, Algonquin College-Ottawa-Canada.He took a Masters' Degree in International Law &Diplomacy  from the University of Lagos, Nigeria.

Mr. Sheidu Omeiza Momoh was employed by the Federal Government of Nigeria in 1983 into the Nigerian Foreign Service. Since then till date, he has served in various capacities at different times both in Nigeria and abroad. In 1990 he was posted to Nigerian Embassy is Lisbon-Portugal where he served as Head of Chancery and Consular Desk Officer. In 1989 he was posted to Nigerian Embassy in N’djamena Chad as Counsellor where he served as Consular officer. In year 2000 he got cross-posted from Chad to Nigeria High Commission-Ottawa, Canada where he worked on Political and Economic desks and returned to Nigeria in 2004. In 2006 he was pasted as Nigerian principal representative (Charge d’affairesen-titre) to Bujumbura, the Republic of Burundi where he managed Nigeria’s interest till 2010. In 2014 he was posted to Nigeria Embassy, Seoul, the Republic of Korea as substantive Deputy Representative. When the Principal Representative was recalled,following  the newly formed APC government of President Muhamadu Buhari, he stepped into the saddle as Minister Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary/ Charge d’Affairesa.i,  a position he held till he was nominated for Ambassadorial consideration by H.E President Muhamadu Buhari and following his success at the screening conducted by the Nigerian Senate he was  appointed as  High Commissioner of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Republic of Kenya with concurrent accreditation to the Republic of Seychelles and Somalia as well as Nigerian Permanent Representative to UNEP and UN-HABITAT in Nairobi.


Ambassador Sheidu Omeiza Momoh has also worked while in Nigeria in various Units and departments of the Nigerian Foreign Ministry. He has worked as Political desk officer in Africa Affairs Department, Economic desk officer in Bilateral Economic Cooperation Department, Protocol Department and Joint Commission, Trade and Investment Division. As Protocol officer at the Murtala Muhamed International Airport, Lagos-Nigeria between 1992-1989 he had the privileged to coordinate the Lagos segment of the visit to Nigeria of His Holiness, the late Pope John Paul II. He was honored by His Holiness with a Medallion of the Pontificate of the Holly Sea for his dedication to duties. As the Director, Joint Commission, Trade and Investment Division he successfully led some of the Nigerian Technical negotiating Teams on Bilateral Agreements to several countries. He has also represented Nigeria at various international conferences.


He also worked  in the Nigeria National Volunteer Service from 2004-2006 in the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation during which he worked to propagate for acceptance and domestication, the values of voluntarism in the socio-economic and human resource development of Nigeria.


Ambassador Sheidu Omeiza Momoh is happily married with his amiable wife, Shefi who remains a strong pillar in his journey in the Nigerian Foreign Service and more than ready to support him in the new appointment.
